David Van Huffel, DDS

Dr. David Van Huffel’s journey into dentistry started long before he earned his degree. Having grown up in the family practice, he began working as a dental assistant at just 16. Today, as a practicing dentist, Dr. Van Huffel is proud to continue his commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to the Columbus community.

Dr. Van Huffel’s approach to dentistry focuses on both treatment and education. From routine cleanings to complex restorative cases, he is dedicated to helping his patients maintain and improve their smiles. A strong advocate for prevention, Dr. Van Huffel believes that educating patients is key to their long-term dental health.

As a graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Van Huffel is passionate about dental outreach. He has been involved with programs like Give Kids a Smile, S-Miles To Go, Remote Area Medicine, and Kenya Partners, where he has had the privilege of providing free dental care to underserved communities. These experiences have shaped his deep commitment to making dental care accessible for all.

When he’s not working, Dr. Van Huffel enjoys running, playing golf, traveling, and practicing photography. He also shares a love of sailing with his family and enjoys spending time outdoors. His favorite treat? Blueberries!
